To acquire proficiency to become Tool Room draftsmen in the area of Press Tools, Jigs & Fixtures and Moulding. To facilitate the candidate to acquire adequate shop floor awareness related to Tool making. To acquire adequate knowledge in computer aided designing / drafting. To enable the student to assist Tool Designer.

Theory

English, Applied Science, Mathematics, Engineering Drawing, Production Technology, Material Technology, Industrial Education, Metrology, Tool Design Theory (Press Tool, Moulds, Jigs and Fixtures), Workshop Calculation, Heat Treatment & Surface Treatment, Strength of Material and Computers.

Practical

Shop floor practice: Bench work, Work on Machines, inspection, General observation, heat treatment. Design practice: Design of Press Tool, Jigs & Fixtures, Design of Moulds, CAD & CNC

project work

Implementation of production design of Press Tool and Mould based projects .

Eligibility :

Pass in PDC / PUC / 12th class or equivalent with minimum 45% marks in Mathematics and 45 % in Science of any one of the qualifying examinations. Age Max. 20 years as on date of admission., Height 155 cm (min) and Weight 40 kg (min)(Height and Weight relaxable if medically fit).
