At NEC, we prioritize the comfort and convenience of our students. We offer accommodation facilities for both boys and girls. For girls, we have 3 hostel blocks on campus, accommodating 250 students and nearby hostels for 160 more. The boys’ hostel, located close to campus, can house up to 750 students. All hostels are managed by dedicated wardens appointed by NTTF.
Mr. Somanathan Kasinathan is a visionary technical‑education leader and the Head / Principal of NTTF Electronic City Centre (NEC), Bengaluru, a flagship campus of the venerable Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF). With over three decades of experience spanning advanced manufacturing and vocational education, he brings a rare blend of industry pragmatism and academic excellence to his leadership role.
He began his career in core manufacturing sectors such as die‑mould, stamping, and CNC machine‑tool operations, where he built deep hands‑on understanding of precision engineering and production systems. This strong industrial grounding later transitioned into education, where he first served as Head of NTTF–Peenya Centre, Bengaluru, before taking charge of the high‑profile NTTF–Electronic City campus, strategically located in India’s IT hub .He has been conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration, a mark of distinction that underscores his leadership and impact on the technical‑education ecosystem. He also received Rotary international vocational service award .
