I was doing my Higher Secondary education in Dharwad and had taken up the Science stream. During the 2nd year vacations, I stayed in a hostel near NTTF. We used to visit the NTTF hostel on Sundays just to watch TV. That is when I got to know about NTTF and applied for the course. After I got selected, I discontinued Science and joined NTTF.

I studied at NTTF Dharwad from 1989-1993 and completed my Diploma in Tool and Die Making. The training period was tough as we had to attend 5 days of practical classes. We were also made to work very hard for 16-18 hours including Sundays. After completing my Diploma, I was extremely confident in my skills and abilities.

I also completed my Industrial Training at Kalyani Engineering, Mumbai and worked there for a year. I later shifted base to Pune as my batch mates were located here. I worked with Tech Electro Mechanicals for 15 years where I was heading the Tool Designing Departments and was taking care of the development activities also. I acquired a lot of exposure and got hands-on experience in design, manufacturing, and assembling.

My friend wanted to partner with me in setting up a start-up unit. In December 2010, I resigned from the company in Pune and started my entrepreneurship in January 2011. We started off in a small tool room and took up orders for developing tools and parts for major companies like Volkswagen, SM Technologies and Ford. We are also supplying tech components to a French company that caters to telecommunication and electrical applications.

I believe that most educational institutions do not offer subject matter expertise for specific sectors. However, NTTF offers 100% theoretical and practical knowledge that caters to the specific industry. Anyone who passes out from here and applies for a job will be able to deliver results from the get-go. Such is the quality at NTTF!
