About
This course will equip students with the necessary skills to operate and set up machine tools within the machining industry. The curriculum focuses on developing general machining skills that align with the requirements identified by the industry.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this program, a trainee must meet one of the following criteria:
- Entry Norms: Class 10th (Mathematics Mandatory)
- Eligibility:PASS in class 10th as per respective state regulations and NTTF entrance exam
- Maximum Age Limit: 24Years
Summary
Upon completion of this program, students will acquire comprehensive knowledge of MS Office and develop efficient typing skills for office automation purposes. They will be equipped with the necessary knowledge to install, configure, and maintain both software and hardware components. Students will also gain the skills to troubleshoot issues related to software and hardware installation and configuration.
Training Methodology
The program offers the following learning opportunities:
- 30% theory and 70% practical training on the floor.
- Tabs are provided with study material and used for online assessments after each classroom session.
- Assessment through intermediate exams and semester exams (theory and practical) for timely feedback on academic performance.
- Development of competency through technical talk, shop talk, discovery learning, and working on projects in the 6th semester.
- Participation in competitions like QCC, and regional/world skill competitions organized by CII.
- Practical hands-on experience with special machines like EDM/Wire cut machines for tool-making operations.
- Exposure to modern tools and concepts such as 5s, lean manufacturing, and TPM through various initiatives and drives.
Curriculum
NTTF curriculum for the certification course has been divided in the following ways:
- Theory:
English, Applied Science, Mathematics, Engineering Drawing, Production Technology, Material Technology, Industrial Education, Quality Control & Metrology, Workshop Calculation, Heat Treatment, and Surface Treatment) - Practical:
Bench Work, Machine Work including Conventional and Special Tool Room Machines like Jig Boring, Jig Grinding, EDM, etc. Training in Inspection, Maintenance. CNC Machine Operation. - Project Work:
Students undertake projects related to the program.
